Use these simple expressions to say where you go, where you come from, and how you travel.
Transport
- en metro — by metro
- en autobús — by bus
- en coche — by car
- en tren — by train
- a pie — on foot
Voy al trabajo en autobús. — I go to work by bus.
Vamos al centro a pie. — We walk downtown.
Movement words

Watch out
Use en with most transport, but a pie for walking. A + el becomes al and de + el becomes del; see articles. These expressions commonly follow ir and venir.
