Conmigo and contigo

After con, use:

  • conmigo — with me
  • contigo — with you

Not:

  • ❌ con mí
  • ❌ con ti

Examples:

Ven conmigo.

Come with me.

Quiero hablar contigo.

I want to talk with you.

For other people, use the normal form:

  • con él
  • con ella
  • con nosotros

Mí vs. mi

Do not confuse:

  • mí = me, after a preposition
  • mi = my

Compare:

Es para mí.

It is for me.

Es mi libro.

It is my book.

Quick rule

After a preposition, use:

mí, ti, él, ella, nosotros, vosotros, ellos, ellas, usted, ustedes

Remember:

con + mí → conmigo
con + ti → contigo
