Whenever I run into a problem while learning a language, I research it. A lot. I’ve tried countless learning methods, explored all kinds of resources, and spent more time than I’d like to admit figuring out what actually works for me.
At some point, I realized that if I’ve already done all that research, I might as well share it. So I started looking back at the resources that genuinely helped me learn Spanish, and putting them together with my own notes on grammar, vocabulary, and the things I learn along the way. Hopefully, it saves you some time and makes learning Spanish on your own a little easier.
I’m also a very visual learner. I learn well from videos and explanations, but taking detailed notes while watching makes everything painfully slow. And when those notes are scattered between notebooks, websites, and different apps, finding something again later becomes a problem of its own.
That’s why I started organizing my Spanish notes in Obsidian and eventually turned them into Learn With Yifan. It’s the home base I wanted for myself: somewhere to find useful resources, quickly review what I’ve learned, and know what to study next.
